Description
Drop-In Centre: The Drop-In Centre is a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space for women and gender diverse folks, who are current or former sex workers. WISH Shelter Canada’s first-ever 24/7 temporary emergency shelter for street-based sex workers.
Mobile Access Project (MAP Van): The MAP Van provides outreach services to street-based sex workers from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., every day of the week, every day of the year.
Supportive Employment Program: The majority of participants who access support at WISH rely on street-based sex work as their sole source of income, leaving them more vulnerable to physical and sexual violence. Learning Centre The WISH Learning Centre supports adult learners who are marginalized, offering a range of activities designed to develop communication skills, their ability to self-advocate and stabilize their lives.
Music Therapy: WISH participants can engage in a range of musical experiences through the WISH Music Therapy program, helping to care for their holistic self through musical education, song-sharing and psycho-education.
Health Clinic: People should be able to receive care in a setting in which they feel safe and with practitioners, they feel they can trust.
